Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol addiction is a habitual or obsessive need for a liquid with intoxicating effects. Alcoholic liquids are made from the extract of fruit or fermented grain. Beer, wine and many other hard types of liquor are liquids with alcoholism.

Alcoholism develops when you crave for alcohol and your craving goes beyond control. If you stop consuming alcohol after getting deep into the habit of alcoholism, you may experience withdrawal symptoms like sweating, shakiness, anxiety or nausea. You are alcoholic if you feel urged to drink alcohol in plenty.

Life-Threatening Effects of Alcohol Addiction:

- Too much intake of alcohol can harm brain cells and lead to brain damage.
- It disturbs the function and structure of the central nervous system destroying its ability to process, retrieve and consolidate information.
- Affects the cognitive abilities of the body
- Reduces the supply of oxygen to the brain
- Inflames the mouth, stomach and esophagus
- Can cause cancer in the mouth, stomach and esophagus
- Can cause irregular heart attacks
- Can cause malnutrition, water retention, pancreatic disorders and high blood pressure
- Can damage sexual function and harm vision
- Breaks down the immunity of the body by weakening bones and muscles
- May lead to lever damage in three stages - liver enlargement, alcoholic hepatitis and cirrhosis.

Pornography Addiction

Pornography addiction is one of the commonest addictive disorders. It is a kind of sexual addiction resulting from obsession with sex. Pornography addiction results in abuse or overuse of sex leading to indecent carnal activities. Teenagers and young adults fall prey to this addiction at the age of adolescence. After the introduction and development of the internet, it has spread like wild fire among the young. Online pornography is more addictive because of its explicitness and wide availability.

Evils of Pornography Addiction

Pornography addiction is full of inimical influence. It inhibits the blooming of young minds and development of young brains. It gradually robs the addicts of their reasoning capability, thinking process and creative faculty. They sometimes end up suffering from mental distress and depression due to the severity of pornography addiction. In many cases, it becomes the cause of their social disgrace.
